Chronodrive to Digitally Transform the Employee Experience and Customer Satisfaction with UKG

25 October, 2022, LONDON, UK.

UKG, a leading provider of HR and workforce management solutions for all people, today announced that Chronodrive, a pioneer in online click-and-collect grocery shopping, has chosen the artificial intelligence (AI)–powered UKG Dimensions solution to accompany its teams.

Chronodrive allows its customers to order their groceries online and to collect them 30 minutes later from one of its 55 shops in France, without having to leave their vehicle. The Chronodrive model, while offering maximum flexibility to consumers, requires extremely precise logistics and scheduling, necessitating the use of state-of-the-art operational solutions.

Chronodrive was therefore looking for a cutting-edge solution to optimise and facilitate the management of its 4,000 employees. Chronodrive chose UKG Dimensions for its advanced scheduling and forecasting capabilities, as well as the flexibility of its mobile application.

"Time management is essential, both for our business and to provide our teams with flexibility in their schedules," explains Vianney Waquet, IT Director at Chronodrive. "The majority of our store employees are part-time students. Their Chronodrive schedule has to adapt to their school timetable constraints. Dimensions will give them this necessary flexibility as well as the ability to view all information related to their job in real time — thus offering them a personalized and optimized experience."

Prior to the implementation of UKG, the process of scheduling and managing time and attendance for Chronodrive’s workforce was largely manual. Now, thanks to Dimensions and its AI-based forecasting module, employees will get their schedules several months in advance. This will allow each collaborator to have a job that fits their personal life, and each manager to have the best team organisation to satisfy Chronodrive’s customer promise.

"The UKG solution allows us to make the relationship with our employees more fluid,” continued Waquet.   “Beyond what we can call ‘digital transformation,’ it is necessary for any company to take advantage of both new technologies and new digital uses to facilitate, automate and optimise processes, but also to improve the interaction with Team members, and to offer them more flexibility. The mobile application will give our people more autonomy to interact with their managers, consult their schedules, request time off or swap shifts directly from their phone or tablet. The tools in place at Chronodrive were no longer meeting the new needs and uses effectively. Mobile applications, already an integral part of everyone's daily life, will therefore contribute to a more modern experience and position Chronodrive as a more attractive employer."

Chronodrive has chosen UKG partner, Accenture, to support its digital transformation project and will benefit from its workforce management knowledge and implementation methodology.

"In the current ever-changing economic context, modern workforce management technology is a must for organisations competing for the best talent,” said Dominique Slavicek, Group Vice President EMEA at UKG. “Today's employees demand flexible working arrangements, and Dimensions has been designed to ensure optimal life-work flexibility. By taking into account employees' personal preferences while leveraging AI and machine learning, the UKG technology helps organisations such as Auchan Retail, of which Chronodrive is a part of, to make better decisions while offering more flexibility and responsibility to employees by allowing them to be more involved."

The selection of UKG is an important step for Chronodrive, whose HR digitalisation could be completed by the addition of the complementary modules of UKG solutions.
