UKG Named to U.K.’s Best Workplaces 2021 List

4 May, 2021, LONDON, U.K.

UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group), a leading global provider of HCM, payroll, HR service delivery, and workforce management solutions, announced today that it’s been named to the U.K’s Best Workplaces 2021 list by Great Place to Work.

The company celebrates this achievement just one year after its merger, and six months after its rebrand, transforming Kronos Incorporated, PeopleDoc, and Ultimate Software into UKG in Europe. UKG employees are closely connected to a globally aligned framework of carefully selected values and behaviours that shape every component of its evolving culture — from benefits to performance to its brand promise, “Our purpose is people.”

“To be named one of the U.K.’s Best Workplaces — considering the unique challenges all organisations faced resulting from the global pandemic, coupled with our monumental year of a merger and rebrand — is a true testament to the character and commitment of all U Krewers in the U.K.,” said Aron Ain, chairman and CEO of UKG. “Through it all, we’ve upheld our commitment to preserving employees’ physical, mental, and financial wellbeing as our UKG family navigated the unprecedented year. We will always be there for our people, as they are for us and our customers, and we remain committed to providing a great workplace for all.”

During its first year as UKG, the company launched several initiatives that exemplify its people-centric values, such as establishing an Employee Relief Fund to support employees whose immediate family members have been adversely impacted by COVID-19 and other unforeseen disasters, and donating to the Center for Disaster Philanthropy Global COVID-19 Response Fund — in all, raising more than $2 million in vital relief for people around the world. The company also supports the whole employee by offering virtual mental- and physical-wellness seminars.

Recognising that more than half of all UKG employees across the globe are working parents, in the U.K., the company launched the “Wisdom for Working Mums” programme — an initiative designed to support women in navigating their family, work, and life in a more successful and sustainable way. The programme consisted of masterclasses, women in business networks, one-on-one coaching, and on-demand resources.

“Caring for our people has always been in our DNA and, throughout the events of last year, U Krewers have demonstrated true resilience and dedication to supporting each other, our customers, and our communities,” said David Morgan, senior director of international HR at UKG. “Our wellbeing support has taken into account the whole person, both inside and outside of work, which has empowered our people to take personal control of their wellbeing during such challenging times. We have seen firsthand how great companies truly are powered by great people.”

Curated by Great Place to Work, the U.K.’s Best Workplaces 2021 list is the largest survey of workplace cultures and people practices in the country. The methodology that creates the rankings is one of the most rigorous and highly sought after — and regarded as the “gold standard” of employer awards.

According to Great Place to Work, this year’s list captured the experience and sentiment of 183 organisations in the U.K., recognised by their employees for promoting a healthy workplace culture through trust, pride, and camaraderie during the COVID-19 pandemic.

UKG has more than 200 employees throughout its three locations in the U.K., with various open positions.
