It is an evening of Medieval Madness planned to honor the noble marriage of Baron Bartholomew to the Lady Diana of Dunnsberry. From the notorious knights to the seedy sheriff, the conniving chamberaid to the meddling maids, all the subjects of the manor are not only invited, but ordered to be here by command of the lord. With all of the secrets in the manor, it is hard to tell who will live through the night-- for any betrayal to the lord or the king IS punishable by death.Whether it is to see knights jousting or to partake in the ale and entertainment, your business is your own... that is until you find yourself in the middle of a murder.
With only one night to find the guilty, you will soon figure out that there is a lot more at stake, for murder in the manor is punishable by death. Whether you are guilty or not, there will be others trying to finger you as the culprit as you try to find the real murderer, and only you can defend your innocence. Who do you trust? Who will betray you before the night is through? Everyone is a suspect and no one is safe in this mystery of medieval madness.
Be careful in attending. Your life will depend not only on your innocence, but your ability to defend it.
A Knight of Murder lasts for about four hours and is suited to an evening. It is often played over a meal -- a finger buffet if possible to allow guests to circulate and talk in private.
The free introductory pdf file contains a list of all the guests, an invitation to send to your guests, an example character -- plus details of how to buy the game.
Buying A Knight of Murder
A Knight of Murder comes in three different versions, depending on how many players you have: 10-15 players costs $40 USD, 15-20 costs $45 USD, 20-80 costs $60 USD. That works out at about 20 / 23 / 30 GB pounds or 27 /31 / 41 Euro, depending on the exchange rate charged by your credit card. (You can use the XE.com Personal Currency Assistant to check the amount.)
To purchase A Knight of Murder, follow these three steps.
Step 1: Download the free introductory pdf file. You will need the free Adobe Acrobat Reader to read this. If you do not already have Acrobat Reader, click here.
Step 2: Read the intro and see what you think of the game!
Step 3: Go back to the Night of Mystery online shop and buy the game on their secure site. After you've entered your credit card details, you'll be emailed the location of the main pdf files, plus the password required to unlock them. You can then download those files and enjoy the game!
